Practical Experience
Danielle has practised exclusively in family law since 2002, in private practice and as a volunteer solicitor for the Inner City Legal Centre and duty solicitor at the Family Court. She trained as a mediator and registered family dispute resolution practitioner in 2007, and has since balanced practice in both family law and family mediation.
Her Masters thesis was a critical appraisal of the most recent reforms to the family law system, which she completed through an exchange with Cambridge University, UK, and for which she was offered a Research Training Scheme grant from the Australian Government.
Danielle is a volunteer Mock Trial coach. Her favourite hobby is writing for magazines. She once had a legal column in Woman's Day under the pseudonym, "Danielle Carrington", where she would answer readers' legal questions.
Danielle is the co-founder of Sydney Mediation Partnership, and the author of Two Birthday Cakes, a self-help illustrated children’s book on the topic of separation and divorce.
